Kenosha Pass
location: Pike-San Isabel National Forest
size: 30 x 40 inches
materials: Acrylic on panel
by Kristen Ross
about: Kenosha Pass is one of the most popular places in Colorado to view the changing aspen leaves in autumn. From highway 285, I like to hike West along the Colorado Trail for a few miles for stunning views of South Park. The pass was used by the Ute people to reach hunting grounds in South Park, and later by prospectors during the Pike’s Peak Gold Rush and the Colorado Silver Boom.
Please note: Colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen. Paintings will ship or be available for local pickup after the show concludes on June 20th.
