Conundrum Hot Springs

$7,600.00
sold out

location: White River National Forest

size: 30 x 40 inches

materials: Acrylic on panel

by Kristen Ross

about: Conundrum Hot Springs is one of the last undeveloped public hot springs in Colorado, only accessible via an 8.5-mile hike. When I first moved to Colorado in 2015, hiking and camping at these springs turned into my first ever backpacking trip. Soaking in the 98F water at the top of a mountain valley surrounded by 14,000ft peaks is an experience I’ll never forget.

Conundrum is a geothermal spring within the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness section of the White River National Forest, near the town of Aspen. The springs are among the highest in the United States.

Please note: Colors may vary slightly from what you see on screen. Paintings will ship or be available for local pickup after the show concludes on June 20th.
