suddenly is soon

by irek jania

Step into the world of contemporary abstract artist Irek Jania.

suddenly is soon features paintings, drawings, and sculptures that explore how grief completely distorts our sense of time. The pieces use abstract, nature-inspired shapes and warm colors that repeat and evolve throughout the gallery, mirroring the non-linear process of grieving and how it warps our sense of time and reality. Ultimately, it's about how we revisit the same memories but find ourselves changed, reflecting on how loss reshapes who we are.

Irek Jania's work is a response to unique moments in time experienced in nature and everyday life.

Through exploring the relationship of organic forms, colors, and textures, Irek aims to create a visual language that reflects a contemplative relationship with one's life occurrences and self.

Irek invites the viewer to create their own narrative in reaction to the work, meditating on a deeper connection to their own everyday experiences.
